MATCH REPORTS
Saturday 1st April
In a Lisburn League cup semi final the Sky Blues Under 12's played Lisburn Youth. In a closely competitive first half the sides went into the break level at 2-2 with Simon Durnien scoring both the Sky Blues goals. In the second half it was Lisburn Youth who made best of their chances and at the final whistle they had made it to the final with a 4-2 win.

Saturday 11th March
It was Shankill who provided the opposition for the Sky Blues U12 team in the Lisburn League. The Apex side opened the scoring only for Shankill to reply with 2 goals to give them the lead at halftime by 2-1. In the second half Niall Boyd scored his and the Sky Blues second to give a final score of 2-2 and a share of the points.

Saturday 25th February
The Apex U12’s in the Lisburn League played Holywood in a league game. In a competitive first half both sides attacked at every opportunity and by the halftime whistle it was the Sky Blues who went into the interval with a 2-1 advantage. The Sky Blues side started strongly in the second period and as the half progressed they started to control the play. At fulltime the Apex side had added a further three goals to their tally to give them both the points and the win on the day.

Saturday 18th February
The Apex Sky Blues U12 squad that plays in the Lisburn League had a cup fixture against Lurgan this week. The first half was closely contested and it was Lurgan who made the most of their chances and went into the break with a 1-0 advantage. The Sky Blues started the second half strongly and two quick goals by Niall Boyd put them ahead and with ten minutes to go David Spiers secured the win for the Sky Blues who now progress to the semi finals.

Saturday 4th February
It was Lisburn Youth who provided the opposition for the Sky Blues U12 team in the Lisburn League. This was a closely contested fixture which could have went either way due to the open and attacking football played by both sides. After an even first half and with the teams level at 0-0 it was Lisburn who scored that all important goal midway through the second half which proved to be the winner to give Lisburn the points.

Saturday 28th January
The Sky Blues U12’s game in the Lisburn League on Saturday was against Loughgall. After the opening minutes play it was Loughgall who broke the deadlock only for the Sky Blues to equalize midway through the half and send the teams into the interval level at 1-1. In an end to end second half both keepers had to be at their best to keep the score level but with ten minutes left on the clock it was the Sky Blues who went in front with a well struck shot from just inside the Loughgall box. Loughgall pressed hard in the closing stages but the Apex defence held out to take the points.

Saturday 21st January
On Saturday the Sky Blues U12’s in the Lisburn League played Lower Maze. This game was an end to end affair with both sides throwing caution to the wind and attacking when possible. Both defences needed to be on top form and both keepers made great saves to send the teams in level at the break scoreless. The second half was similar to the first and midway through the half it was the Sky Blues who broke the deadlock through a well struck shot. The opposition pressed hard to get an equalizer but the Sky Blues defence stood firm for their side to win the game with a 1-0 scoreline.

Saturday 29th October
It was the knock out shield competition for the Sky Blues Under 12's in the Lisburn League with Armagh providing the opposition. This game was closely contested with the sides being level at 1-1 at the final whistle. As the game entered extra time the Sky Blues had to go down to 10 men when a player got injured and had to leave the field and with all their subs used they had no option but to finish the game with 10 players. Armagh to their credit used the extra player to their advantage and by the end of extra time had scored a further 3 goals to progress to the next round of the competition.

Saturday 22nd October
The Apex Sky Blues Under 12 Lisburn League squad played Holywood at Suffolk. In a closely contested first half it was Hollywood who opened the scoring only for the Sky Blues to equalise to send the teams in level at the break with a 1-1 scoreline. In the second half it was the Sky Blues who created the better chances and by the fulltime whistle they had added a further 2 goals to their score to win the fixture.

Saturday 8th October
The Under 12 game took place at Suffolk and in a closely contested first period it was Banbridge who went into the break 2-1 ahead. In the second half the Sky Blues pressed hard to get an equaliser but found themselves up against a strong Banbridge defence. On the break Banbridge posed a big threat and by fulltime they had scored two more goals to add to their first half advantage.

Saturday 1st October
The Under 12 game provided a closely contested first half with Lisburn opening the scoring and the Sky Blues equalising through David Spiers to send the teams into the break level at 1-1. In the second half Lisburn showed their strength and took advantage of any mistakes made in the Apex defence and ran out winners with a 5-1 scoreline.

Saturday 24th September
In the Lisburn league the Apex Sky Blues teams played Loughgall at Under 12 and Under 13 and it was Lisburn Youth as the opponents for the Under 15's. The game against Loughgall for the Under 12 squad took place at Kirkwoods Road and proved to be a tight affair from first to final whistle. In an evenly contested first half it was both defences who were mainly on top which resulted in a 0-0 score at the break. In the second period it was the Sky Blues who started to get on top and create the better chances and managed to score twice by fulltime to win the fixture and the points.

Saturday 17th September
In the Lisburn league the Apex Sky Blues teams played Armagh at Under 12, Larne at Under 13 and it was Loughgall as the opponents for the Under 15's. The game against Armagh for the Under 12 squad took place at Lisburn Recreation. This game was a close affair from start to finish with both sides playing attacking football at every opportunity. Both defences had to be at their best to contain 2 lively strike forces and it was the Sky Blues strike force and defence who came out on top with a goal either side of the halftime break and a clean sheet to give them both the win and the points.

Saturday 10th September
After both sides had settled down in the Under 12's game it was the Sky Blues who looked the more dangerous of the two and the more likely to score and this proved to be the case after good play on the right side. As the halftime whistle approached Ballymena scored an equaliser through a well taken goal at the back post. The second half was closely contested as both sides went in search of a winner. There was 10 minutes left when the deadlock was broken by Ballymena to give them their second goal of the game and all the points on the day.

Saturday 3rd September
The Under 12 Lisburn League team started their league fixture with a game played at Glenmore against Lurgan. The Apex side started well in this game and went on to control the play for long periods during the first and second halves. At the break the Sky Blues found themselves 2-0 ahead and at the fulltime whistle they had doubled their score to secure their first points of the season.
